Johnson announces retirement from all forms of cricket

Australia left-arm pacer Mitchell Johnson has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 36-year-old, who went on to play in T20 tournaments across the globe after quitting international cricket in November 2015, last played in this year's IPL for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

"It's over. I've bowled my final ball. Taken my final wicket. Today I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket," Johnson said in a column on Perth Now. "I had hoped to continue playing in various Twenty20 competitions around the world until perhaps the middle of next year. But the fact is my body is starting to shut down."

ATK sign former NorthEast United player Andre Bikey

ISL franchise ATK, on Saturday, signed Cameroon defender Andre Bikey who has formerly played for Reading, Burnley and Middlesbrough, 33-year old Bikey made his ISL debut for NorthEast United FC. Bikey represented Jamshedpur FC last year.

ISL season 5 to begin on September 29

ISL-5 to have 3 breaks including a 40-days break for the AFC tournament which will be held in UAE.
The final of the ISL-5 will be held on March 16th or 17th.

TIMING CHANGE

The timings of the fifth season could be changed. Last seaon the matches kicked off at 8 PM. The organisers haven't finalised the timings yet but the matches could either start at 7 PM or 7:30 PM.

India U20 star Anwar Ali joins Mumbai City FC

The young defender will play for the team from Mumbai in the ISL from the coming season....
India U20 defender Anwar Ali has signed for Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC from Minerva Punjab.
Anwar was also part of the Indian team which took part in the U17 World Cup held in India last October and was a regular fixture in central defence. 
The 17-year-old is one of the best junior players in the country right now and Mumbai City have secured his signature on a long-term deal. 
He joins them on a three-year-deal and will now look to make the step up to ISL and continue his development.
