Sachin Tendulkar advises Kerala Blasters fans to wear helmets while riding bikes (Video)

Sachin Tendulkar was recently in Kerala, gearing up for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League, which will kick-off on November 17 in Kochi itself. An interesting video posted on the former cricketer’s Facebook account showed how he was interacting with the local folk. Such is the impact of football in that part of the country that when Sachin asked a man on his bike to move a bit forward, he started shouting “Kerala Blasters.”

The video shows Sachin Tendulkar in the passenger's seat of a car, and several two-wheelers travelling parallel to it. While each and every one was staring at the great man, he spotted that two couples were riding in two motorbikes, but only the riders had a helmet. He straightaway pointed it out to one of the bikes, and said, "Wear helmets at the back also.”

Just as the car overtook them, Sachin remarked and said, “Why should only the rider be wearing a helmet, the two women I spotted at the back, both of them were not wearing helmets, doesn’t make any sense to me.”

As the Mumbaikar’s car stopped at a traffic signal, he waited for the bikes to arrive near his car and asked the woman pillion rider to wear a helmet s well. He justified his statement by saying that both of them have equal chances of getting injured.

Kerala Blasters have a great side on papers this year, especially the signing of former Manchester United player Dimitar Berbatov makes them a force to reckon with. After missing out on winning the title in 2014 and last year as well, the Kerala Blasters will be looking forward to winning the ISL this time round.
