CB: Lucian Goian
The veteran center back will once again play a key role for Mumbai City FC this season. Goian will in all likelihood captain the side.
CB: Gerson Viera
The young Brazilian was a regular starter for Mumbai last season. He looked calm, solid and partnered with Goian effectively. While Gerson is a dependable center back.
LB: Mehrajuddin Wadoo
Having plied his trade for Chennaiyin and I-League outfit Mumbai FC last season, Wadoo is a vital addition to what initially looked like a wafer-thin back line. He's a versatile defender who can play as a center back and as a full-back as well.
RB: Márcio Rosário
