2018 AFC U23 Championship draw results

The draw for the 2018 AFC U23 Championship has brought forth several enticing match-ups for the January tournament.
The sixteen participating Asian nations learnt firsthand about their tournament groups and opponents in a glittering draw ceremony in Changzhou, China.
In Group A, first-time host nation China faces a tricky opponent in the form of Qatar. The 2016 fourth placed Qataris are joined by Uzbekistan and Oman.
Over in Group B, it is déjà vu for reigning champions Japan as they face their 2016 group opponents DPR Korea and Thailand! The group is completed by debutant nation Palestine.
Meanwhile in Group C, 2013 winners Iraq faces a rematch with 2013 runners-up Saudi Arabia. Completing the group are Malaysia, who will be making their first tournament appearance, and Jordan, who came in third place back in 2013.
Lastly, Group D sees 2016 runners-up Korea Republic take on Vietnam. The rest of the group is rounded off with two of the 2013 quarterfinalists, Australia and Syria.
